Ag Museum In The News

MARCUS, Iowa — For over 30 years, Jr Pearson has been on a mission to preserve history — specifically items related to the days when horse power was the best way to get work done on the farm and in the cities.

Pearson’s collection is open by appointment only in the quiet town of Marcus, Iowa where at a certain point in history it was quite a bustling business center. It had the reputation for being the one of the largest shipping points for cattle, hogs, and chickens between Sioux City and Chicago, filling as many as nineteen livestock train cars in day.
