A man bought a team of mules from a horse trader. He had his neighbor, a good horseman, pick them up.
When the man unloaded the mule he thought they appeared to have some age on them.
Sometime later, the two men hooked the mules to work them in the field. After just a short time, one of the mules laid down.
He called the horse trader and said, “Those mules you sold me, they look like they’re kind of old. When I bought them you said they were past 8 and 9.”
The trader replied, “Yes. Quite a little past.”
